Brandon Routh to be in a Bollywood Movie “Kambhakt Ishq”?

[From Thai Indian News] Mumbai, June 24 (IANS) Producer Sajid Nadiadwala has finalised Brandon Routh and Denise Richards for his $20 million project “Kambhakt Ishq”, which also has Akhsay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor. Coraline Update

[OregonLive.com] Laika, Phil Knight's animation studio, said this morning that it plans an ambitious slate of three films to follow up on its inaugural feature, "Coraline," due out in February (2009).

Coraline, the studio's first film, is the story of a girl who passes into a mirror world where she meets sinister, alternate versions of her parents. See a teaser for Coraline here.

Based on a novel by children's writer Neil Gaiman, it will be distributed by Focus Features with lead characters voiced by teen star Dakota Fanning and Desperate Housewives' Teri Hatcher. Read more.

The Girl In The Park mention

[From Hollywood Reporter] and tiny Tiberius Film is using the extra publicity to drum up interest for Sigourney Weaver/Kate Bosworth starrer "The Girl in the Park."

"Munich isn't Berlin, there isn't that kind of attention, but it is still a great place to launch a film for the German market," Kinowelt distribution head Georg Miros told THR. "Other than Berlin, Munich is the only German festival that gets the press attention you need." Read full article here.

Smallville Season 8 News: Tess & "Davis Bloome" Are Cast!

[From Kryptonsite] Michael Ausiello (formerly of TV Guide, headed to Entertainment Weekly) has revealed that the roles of "Tess" and erstwhile Doomsday "Davis Bloome" have been cast.

"Davis Bloome," aka Doomsday, will be played by Battlestar Galactica alum Sam Witwer, who played Alex "Crashdown" Quatraro on the series.

The role of Tess will be filled by Cassidy Freeman, who was actually Justin Hartley's leading lady in the failed CW pilot Austin Golden Hour.
