WORTH A LOOK "Superman Returns,” 7 p.m., HBO. The Man of Steel comes back to Earth — in the persona of newcomer Brandon Routh — in director Bryan Singer's ("X-Men”) well-received but rather uninspired revitalization of the superhero saga. DVD Review: September Dawn
Academy Award® winner Jon Voight, Terence Stamp, Dean Cain, and Trent Ford star in this film based on the true story of the Mountain Meadows Massacre – the brutal murder of 120 men, women and children on September 11, 1857 as their wagon train passed through Utah on its way to California. The question of whether the attack was carried out by local Paiute Indians or by a renegade sect of the Mormon Church remains unresolved to this day.
"The Bishop is a follower of the Mormon Church and was present when founder Joseph Smith (played by a puffy Dean Cain, the director’s son) was killed by Missourians and since the wagon train consists of them he trusts them not. He tells his sons to keep an eye on the gentiles (as the Mormons refer to them) as he goes to consult with Mormon leader Brigham Young (Terence Stamp)."

As previously posted here, Enchanted shows a "Superman Returns" billboard behind James Marsden (who played Richard White in "Superman Returns"). If you're wondering why he's dressed like that, James Marsden plays Prince Edward in "Enchanted", a story which sees the animated world of princes and princesses clash with real world New York.
