Kate Bosworth shops superhero style

IF Kate Bosworth arrived with a lot of luggage she left with a heck of a lot more after spending her last weekend in Sydney shopping up a storm.

With her British model beau James Rousseau by her side, the American actress spent yesterday hitting some of Oxford St's trendiest stores, including Scanlon & Theodore, sass & bide, Alannah Hill and Ksubi. The extra threads posed a dilemma, forcing the Blue Crush star to buy some $2 shop zip-up bags before jetting out in the afternoon.

Bosworth told Confidential her holiday had been about catching up with friends she made while filming Superman Returns and hanging out at her old haunts.

"I love coming here," she said.

"It's truly one of my favourite places in the world. It always feels like coming home."

Just like the superhero she starred alongside in the flick, she will be returning later in the year to be a bridesmaid at her best friend's wedding.

"It's my first time (as a bridesmaid)," she said.

Fest season 2008

The big 'dance is a mere two weeks away, and SXSW has just let slip a few of its big premieres. Via the Hollywood Reporter, the SXSW opening night film will be Robert Luketic's "21," based on Ben Mezrich's 2002 nonfiction book "Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions," which traced how the MIT Blackjack Team studied card counting and, backed by anonymous investors, brought in huge amounts before the Vegas casinos caught on. Kate Bosworth, Jim Sturgess, Kevin Spacey and Laurence Fishburne star. Fest producer Matt Dentler has the trailer.
