Margot Kidder says mental illness is like grief

As previously posted here, Margot Kidder was reported to visiting York Region in hopes of helping to change some of those attitudes.

was the guest speaker of the event.

People with mental illness have been tied up, beaten and subjected to other forms of torture, actress and mental health activist Margot Kidder said last Monday night during a visit to the region.

The woman best known for playing Lois Lane in the Christopher Reeves Superman movie, spoke in Richmond Hill at a Canadian Mental Health Association York Region event.

Ms. Kidder is an advocate for mental health and alternative treatments.
