According to Superman Homepage, apparently Blockbuster in Australia and MovieHole both received what is claimed to be a synopsis for the "Justice League of America" film received by casting agents earlier in the year...
The film is about Green Lantern, Green Arrow, and others of the Justice League of America, an organization made up of the world's greatest superheroes must deal with the expulsion of Batman and the death of Superman at the hands of the monstrous Doomsday.
Could this be why we haven't heard any definite claims for the roles of Batman and Superman? Sounds fishy to me. Meanwhile, the LA Times newspaper posted a small snippet stating that now that the writer's strike is over, Warner Bros. are actively seeking to hire writers for the next Superman movie.
